Fused glass; Hand pulled patterned vitrograph and coloured sheet glass elements, platter was fused around a series of ceramic squares to create the open spaces

Fused glass pieces are a joy to create. I typically work with ideas from my own imagination and will develop an idea for a few days or, sometimes, a few weeks. The patterned vitrograph in this piece was custom designed, hand pulled and chopped. 
Each piece was then individually placed with additional cut glass elements around a series of ceramic blocks to create an open grid. The elements and vitrograph were then fused together and slumped in a mold to create the final shape. This allows for an atypical and visually pleasing final art piece. - Robert Miller, artist
