Stoneware clay; Soda-fired

46 x 20 x 12 cm

"This piece symbolizes the strength, resilience, and uniqueness of every individual irrespective of their shapes and believes, urging us to embrace and honor the multifaceted identities and potentials of women in our society. For generations, societal expectations have pressured women into conforming to certain roles and behaviors, often at the expense of their own desires and well-being. From a young age, girls are taught to prioritize others' needs above their own and to avoid conflict by saying 'yes' even when they may want to say 'no'. This ingrained pattern of compliance can result in damage to their core identities. It's crucial to break this chain of expectation and empower women to assert their boundaries and authenticity."
