Big Bloom Dahlia

Pencil crayon, watercolour and encaustic on handmade paper

Paper is made using cotton pulp and cast, form it for shape and to add textures. The imagery is hand drawn using pencil crayons and watercolours. Encaustic, hot molten beeswax and colour pigments are added in layers to enhance the textures and provide a translucent finish to the work.

Do not hang in direct sunlight or allow to freeze
