22. Red Fox Embrace
Two wild red fox pelts, handspun wool yarn, wool batting as lining, and antler tip buttons; fur sewing and design, crochet, wool felting
"This warm winter set was created with respect for the wild-fur trade of Canada and its continued importance to Northern Peoples. Two small red fox pelts were used for the hat and muff. The two tails were used as the neck-warmer/hanger for the muff, in keeping with the call for "zero-waste" design. This portion could be detached and worn as a neckpiece. Several Saskatchewan collaborators contributed: Gordon Snaith, Swift Current (pelts and tanning), Rita Tavanetz, Biggar (handspun wool yarn), Joe Schmutz, Grandora (deer antler buttons), Brooke Aiken, Eyebrow (wool batting lining)."
