Collection: JoAnne Sauder

JoAnne Sauder has a background in and love of legal research and tax policy. Her current focus is on writing and trying to make sense of the world through the use of the knitted stitch. This takes the form of binary hand-knitting, where whether a stitch goes up (purled) or goes down (knit) creates the image.

Born and raised in Saskatoon, much of JoAnne’s inspiration comes walking along the Meewasin Trail.

JoAnne was included in the juried Saskatchewan Craft Council exhibition Dimensions in 2017 and 2019. She received the Jane Turnbull Evans Award for Innovation in Craft for her 2017 entry.
