Collection: Elizabeth Muirhead
Elizabeth Muirhead is a fiber artist whose main focus is needle felted wool. She creates highly textural wall art as well as a wide variety of sculptural figures including birds and animals. She fell in love with needle felting in particular because of its versatility. It allows her to create just about anything she can imagine. Her inspiration comes primarily from the prairie landscape and its inhabitants but there are always other subjects to explore!
Elizabeth feels that she can create with fiber in a way that she could not duplicate in any other medium. She appreciates the tactile aspect of fiber, its texture, structure, and how it feels in her hands. It is always exciting to go to the studio and discover another way to make use of beautiful fiber. Elizabeth is self taught in the area of needle felting and has added classes to further her skills in other areas related to fiber.
