My journey with felting started when my husband said, “Let’s keep llamas in our pasture.” At a Llama Canada conference, I discovered that the beautiful fibre I was shearing from our animals could be felted. The next step was taking a workshop on nuno felting, and I was hooked.

Nuno felting is the art of felting fibre into fabric. As I have played with fibre and fabric, I grew to include not just llama but alpaca, silk, and sheep fibres into my art. The journey has also included learning to dye fibre and fabric. Some of my art now includes dying techniques, like ice dying and eco-dying. My business is called Adorn Yourself, as my passion focuses on creating one-of-a-kind pieces of art that women can “adorn” themselves with.
