Collection: Bill Keen
Metal artist, Bill Keen, was born in Montmartre SK and has lived in Moose Jaw for the past 53 years. He uses metals such as steel, copper, brass and stainless. For the past 30 years, Bill has used mostly carbon steel, natural stone and wood for his sculptures. All of Bill’s sculptures are original, one of a kind pieces. Bill uses various welding techniques such as MIG welding, Gas welding, ARC welding, heating, forging and cutting in creating his art work. He starts out making a skeletal structure and then adds welds until he gets the desired design.
His sculptures vary from abstract to realism. For the past 30 years, his wife, Laurette, has been hand painting the metal art which adds life and a certain style to the pieces. They have become a team in creating unique art work.
