Claude Morin, Moose Jaw
The living spirits of a consciousness sustain all forms in the universe. Recent theories in cosmology and quantum physics acknowledge this mystery. Via a ritualized approach to art I wish to connect with this ephemeral aspect of existence. In the artist way, I believe that it is necessary to harmonize one's state of mind with the synchronicity of events to discover its underlying reality, greatly influence my art which mostly consists in exploring the transformation of organic forms. Earth, the ceramist's medium, is well suited to revealing change and transformation. Human dreams may sometimes awaken its archetypes which are slow to reveal themselves. I manipulate the clay without aggression or a desire to force my will. I observe the changes and retain its expressions. I finally abandon my work to the caprices of fire.
