"The work explores the archetype mother as a space holder while pointing to fragility, identity and balance. The preciousness and fragility of the piece is achieved by little round seeds worked into the clay which then unpredictably explode during the firing process. The grounding on a rock talks to a nurturing stability as well as balance." - Sabine Wecker
