"The neckpiece, After the Rain, explores the concept of growth, considering the formation of leaves and petals that evolve through the seasons. The piece resonates with nature and suggests the appearance of leaves after a rain shower, struck by sunlight. The leaves ripple, bend and curl in response to the rain, wind and time. Jenny-Lyn’s work evokes the desire to touch and examine found objects in the wild – and create a way to carry elements from the woods into everyday wear. In this piece, she turns to her textile background to manipulate yarn to compliment the enamelled metal forms to convey movement and harmony. A visually rich, tactile surface with contrasting textures and colours generates a rustic, yet elegant appeal." - Jenny-Lyn Fife
