This entry is an Eastern Screech Owl and Black Capped Chickadee. Both birds are life-size and anatomically correct. This piece is carved from Tupelo wood and painted with acrylic paint. The habitat is a handmade branch carved from basswood and paper was used to create the bark, the whole piece is mounted on a piece of maple burl. It's named 'Do Not Disturb' as piece represents a Chickadee disturbing the Owl’s sleep, the Owl is not pleased but is trying hard to ignore the chickadee. - Reuben Unger, artist
